TRS Is On Instagram
- Updated: September 20, 2016
It’s 2016, and yeah, we’re a little late to the party, but the fact of the matter is we are there. We’re excited to announce that TRS has joined the legions of Instagram!
But why is this important enough to earn an article on the site you might ask? Well first, it represents the first insight into what we as a company are up to, in the newly introduced TRS Company Blog section of the site. You’ll be able to check in with what we are doing and the changes we face as a growing company.
But getting back to the sweet pictures, this news is worth a whole article because it directly involves you. First off, obviously you need to run immediately to Instagram and follow us. The fact that you haven’t yet is rather insulting. We’ll wait.
Now that you’re back let’s talk about how this applies to you. Beyond having another platform to see what we’re up to, the TRS Instagram page will feature user submitted images among shots from our wonderful staff writers out in action. We’ll be regularly featuring the best sports images you have to offer, with full credit.
Why are we doing this? Well, we’re still a growing company and are far from having the staff that extends from coast to coast that we strive to end up with, but we are eager to continue to tell sports stories in new and exciting ways, so we’re going to take some help from you, our readers.
So the next time you’re at the game, a team event, or just catch a good shot while bumping into a player, coach, or personality, and get a good shot, slip into our DMs or submit your image to IG@TheRunnerSports.com for the chance to be a featured image in the feed. We aren’t looking for paparazzi images, make sure if you have a subject, that you’ve garnered their permission for the photo.
All images submitted must be yours. Feel free to let us know some details, like the matchup, who we are looking at, who you are, or other useful info that will quickly allow for us to take your image into consideration. And all sports images are welcomed. From little league to pro football, rugby, figure skating, to a beautiful shot of your backyard pickup pigskin game, all is welcomed. Full user submission guidelines.
But wait there’s more…
To celebrate our joining Instagram, we’re going to be giving away two tickets to Wednesday night’s LA Dodgers/San Francisco Giants game. You’ll get to hang out with a couple of TRS writers and take in some heated September baseball. Obviously, time is not on our side in this promotion, so in order to win, you must verify that you are capable of making it to the game by 7 PM PT Wednesday, September 21st. Once the winner is declared we’ll coordinate a time and place to get you your tickets, and we’ll see you at the ballpark.
To enter, all you have to do is share this post via a screenshot on Instagram and tag us in it, or via one of the other social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn) share the promotional giveaway post regarding the new Instagram. You also must follow the associate account of the TRS for whatever platform you’re sharing on to be considered.
The winner will be announced tomorrow at 12 pm PT.
Get to snapping, and share away, we’ve got a ballgame to see.
