NFL Power Rankings

Here at The Runner Sports we want to put a different spin on NFL Power Rankings. Instead of having an omnipotent ranking, we thought it’d be unique to take the average rankings from all our NFL writers, to give the ultimate. That way we can forget the bias, get a full range of the spectrum from different perspectives, and give you, what could possibly be the best power ranking available.

We can dream.

This page will be updated each Tuesday following the conclusion of each week’s action. So be sure to come back and see who’s moved up and who’s moved down.

Insights:

John Newby (Packers- 1st)

“Once again, the Packers offense acts as a giant saw, cutting through NFL defenses. Aaron Rodgers has been unstoppable, and it seems like only the Patriots or Cardinals could provide meaningful competition.”

Hilmi Celtikcioglu (Vikings- 13th)
Defense is hitting a stride and Adrian Peterson is running through defenses; all they need is better quarterback play. What year is it?
Michael Beaudwin (Jets- 13th)
Leave it to the Jets to get everyone believing in them, and then roll over in an extremely winnable match-up. If Rex Ryan were still the coach, the hype would have been even worse. The Jets definitely lost Sunday’s game, more than the Eagles won it. Fitzpatrick missed a wide open Devin Smith time and time again. His tunnel vision towards the left side of the field resulted in numerous turnovers and a predictable offensive outing. The Jets’ defense is still way too good to count them out of any game, but the flip side is that the offense is not.
Tyler Arnold (Carolina Panthers- 10th)
The Carolina Panthers might be 3-0 for the first time since 2003, which happens to coincide with their last trip to the Super Bowl. The only problem is they’re easily the least tested 3-0 team out there with victories over the lowly Jaguars, Texans, and Saints, with none being overly convincing.
